Audi Q2 pricing revealed

Sub-compact Audi SUV arrives next February priced from $41,100

Audi Australia has announced pricing, confirmed key specifications and local arrival timing for its all-new Q2 sub-compact SUV in Barangaroo, Sydney last night at the car’s first stop of a six-week pop-up east-coast roadshow.

The Q2 will arrive in local showrooms next February, opening with the 1.4 TFSI 2WD variant priced at $41,100 plus on-road costs, while Q2 2.0 TDI quattro pricing will be announced at launch.

Audi Product Communications Manager Shaun Cleary said night that one could be “pretty confident” the Q2 2.0 TDI would not breach $50K.

The range will be augmented by a range-topping Q2 2.0 TFSI quattro by mid-year.

With the Q2 order book opened this week, Audi has already inscribed 200 names to its pages.

Much of the specification highlights have already been outlined here, but it’s worth noting the high level of standard features confirmed at the Barangaroo reveal.

Standard on the Q2 1.4 TFSI up will be Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB), MMI Navigation, Bluetooth and smartphone interface, voice control and parking system plus with reversing camera.

Audi also revealed that while the 1.4 TFSI’s Design line trim features lower bumpers, wheel-arches and sills painted in a contrasting colour, as an extra-cost option buyers can have these sections painted body colour.

Conversely, the 2.0 TDI Sport line quattro’s one-colour paintwork can be optioned to have the Design line’s contrasting lower sections. The C-pillar ‘blades’ will be available in four colours.

The left-hand drive, pre-production Q2 TDI will appear in Barangaroo until September 24, before heading to the Grounds of Alexandria, Sydney on September 24, the Primavera Exhibition, Museum of Contemporary Art, Sydney from September 28 to October 4, the James St Resort, Brisbane over October-16, Pacific Fair, Gold Coast over October 17-20 and the Melbourne Emporium over October 27-30.
