Audi RS 4 Avant Nogaro Selection

Just five units of the commemorative edition Audi RS 4 Avant Nogaro are headed our way
Audi is marking the occasion of the Avant RS2's 20th anniversary with a limited release of a new RS 4 Avant – the Nogaro Selection.
The very limited production run is expected to be highly sought after, and no more than five cars are earmarked for Australia.
“We are pleased to secure five of these very special vehicles to offer our Australian customers,” said Audi Australia MD Andrew Doyle.
“The original Audi Avant RS2 plays a significant role in Audi’s history as the founding model of our high-performance RS range. These RS 4 Avant Nogaro selection vehicles are a fitting tribute, and will become ‘collectable’ in their own right,” said Doyle, as quoted in a press release.
Audi's Avant RS2 first saw the light of day in 1994 and kicked off the RS line of performance cars from Audi. The original car was jointly developed with Porsche and could be ordered in Nogaro Blue, named after the French racing circuit where Frank Biela won twice in the French Touring Car Championship in 1993.
Audi is offering the limited edition model in an exclusive 'Nogaro' blue pearl effect colour, with coordinating high-gloss black for the grille, window finishers and exhaust tailpipes, while the roof rails are matt black.
Sports seats with integrated headrests are electrically adjustable and are trimmed in black Valcona leather on the side bolsters and Alcantara for the seat inserts. Door trims are upholstered in black or Nogaro Blue. Armrests, steering wheel and gear shifter are bound in black leather, with contrasting blue stitching. Carbon-fibre decorative trim features blue threading and Black or Nogaro Blue can be specified for the piping of the black floor mats.
Power is the standard car's 331kW/430Nm 4.2-litre V8, driving to all four wheels through a seven-speed 'S tronic' dual-clutch transmission. The limited edition model does away with the standard car's 19-inch alloys in favour of 20-inch wheels, featuring a five-V-spoke design and shod with 265/30 R20 tyres.
Audi is asking $171,300 (before on-road costs and other options) for the RS 4 Avant Nogaro selection.
