Bentley has created a new special-edition based on its Flying Spur V8 S that trades the standard car's chrome bright-work for dark accents that are claimed to enhance the sportiness of the large luxurious limo.
Featuring a black mesh grille and huge smoked 21-inch rims, the visual effects extend to smoked gloss window surrounds, mirrors and even dark tinted windows.
To help offset all that black, Bentley will offer Black Edition buyers the option to trade the standard black brake callipers for a set of more colourful bright red ones.
Inside, the standard Black Edition interior can also be optioned with contrasting colours, if so desired, but the dash, steering wheel and three-spoke steering wheel are all made using piano black wood.
Under the bonnet, the Flying Spur V8 S doesn't get any more power. That means owners of the special-edition Bentley get the same 388kW/620Nm twin-turbo 4.0-litre V8 as the standard car, but that's still good enough to haul the heavyweight to 100km/h in 4.9 seconds and on to a 306km/h top speed.
Pricing hasn't been announced for the latest special-edition of the Flying Spur and it's not yet known if the Flying Spur Black Edition will make it Down Under, but if it does you'll have to be quick because an all-new Flying Spur is due in 2018.
