Computing giant IBM has teamed up with a small US company, Local Motors, to create a self-driving pure-electric bus.
Called 'Olli', the new bus is said to carry 12 people and is currently being tested around the Washington DC area for public use over the next few months.
Claimed to be drawing interest from other car-makers, the new bus is said to benefit from IBM Watson's cloud-based cognitive computing system that can be requested by passengers to drive to a specific location using natural speak.
Olli can also drop you off at the nearest supermarket, or tell you where it's going. It can also answer more general questions like the weather, "where's good to eat" or, even, "what's the current footie score?"
IBM hopes the technology, that is similar to what's offered by the Android Cortana, iPhone Siri or Google Now, will, in the future be introduced on all self-driving vehicles to enhance the autonomous driving experience.
