Mitsubishi recalls Lancer, ASX and Outlander

Over 30,000 cars affected by tardy CVT, says importer

Mitsubishi Motors Australia is notifying owners of Lancer, ASX and Outlander models of a known fault affecting cars fitted with Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT).

According to Mitsubishi, the fault, which is rectified by downloading updated software for the CVT's ECU, results in delayed acceleration. Over 30,000 cars are subject to the recall, including the 16MY Lancer (2070), 15MY and 15.5MY ASX (20,295) and 16MY Outlander (8970).
