Tesla has opened a new two-storey showroom to service Sydney residents in the market for one of the brand's electric vehicles.
Unlike other Tesla stores around the country, the outlet at 20 Martin Place is a sales facility only. Tesla already has a store on the North Shore that handles servicing as well as sales.
The CBD premises is glass fronted and incorporates a quiet area where prospective customers can consult with a Tesla staff member to order a car of the customer's own specification.
In a sign of Tesla's improving sales in Australia, the company plans to open other retail outlets throughout the country. Additionally,75 new destination chargers will be established before the end of this year, expanding the reach of the 100 chargers already in operation.
