We're not sure whether the disguise helps or hinders the looks of BMW's 1 Series Cabrio.
There's not that much left unrevealed in these pics from the master operatives at Carparazzi. Compare with previous pics of BMW's smallest convertible (more here)
The car was snapped at Nurburgring during testing and clearly shows the canvas roof which is expected to be the only roof option for the tiny convertible.
Based on the pictures, the rear styling is still anybody's guess and the tape around the headlights suggests that not all is as it seems at the front, for that matter.
The car is clearly a four-seater and according to the photographers, boot space should be large enough to accommodate plenty of luggage for two people. It begs the question; will BMW have folding rear seats to increase luggage space, running the risk of reducing torsional rigidity and secondary safety in a convertible like this? Perhaps a ski-port?
Word is that the 1 Series Cabrio will go on sale next year and with a full range of 1 Series engine options, giving it one heck of a head start over any nascent competition from Audi or Mercedes-Benz.
