The Sydney Exhibition Centre in Darling Harbour will be the venue for the bi-annual Auto Aftermarket Expo from April 11 to April 13.
The organising body, the Australian Automotive Aftermarket Association (AAAA), says the trade-only show is the “nation's most comprehensive exhibition of vehicle repair and servicing equipment, replacement parts, tools and accessories.” It focuses on “the exhibitors' top technologies” as well as an “education and information program to update businesses and workshops about new systems available.”
The organisers say more than 350 top Australian and international brands will be on display in a space encompassing nearly five acres, with exhibitors’ equipment and product demonstrations a highlight. Some exhibitors will feature technical presentations, while others will run competitions.
A focus of the expo is helping businesses keep pace with changing trends and technologies. “Australia is following global trends with fast moving service and repair businesses growing larger at the expense of their slower competitors” says AAAA executive director Stuart Charity.
"Keeping up to date with technology - and that means both the technology of your trade and the technology to run your business efficiently - is now critical to the survival and growth of workshops” he said.
“The 2013 Australian Auto Aftermarket Expo [will be] the best information gathering opportunity for New South Wales, Canberra and Queensland based workshop owners and managers to learn about the industry trends, and new technologies that will be required to meet future business challenges" Mr Charity continued.
The last Auto Aftermarket Expo was held in Melbourne in May 2011. It will not return to Sydney until 2017.
