Tata has announced heavily discounted pricing for its Xenon light commercial vehicle range leading up to the end of the financial year.
The incentive – worth as much as $6000 in the case of the Xenon dual-cab 4x4 variant – is aimed at clearing stock imported this year and in the latter part of 2013. There are particular savings to be made on 2013-plated stock, and all prices quoted remain inclusive of on-road costs.
"The TATA range has forged its growth on outstanding value and this continues with our first ever End of Financial Year Special Drive away prices," Tata Australia MD Darren Bowler was quoted saying in a press release.
By dropping the price markedly for the 2013 stock Tata is odds-on to find new buyers attracted by the Xenon's level of standard equipment and technical specification. All variants are powered by the same 110kW diesel, displacing 2.2 litres. Payload ranges from 880 to 1080kg and the towing capacity is rated at 2.5 tonnes.
Standard features across the range comprise power windows, air conditioning, Bluetooth, USB and iPod connectivity, AM/FM radio and CD, driver and passenger airbags, ABS brakes, 16 inch alloy wheels and central locking. Additionally, the dual-cab variants are also equipped as standard with satellite navigation and a reversing camera.
Drive-away pricing for the Xenon is as follows until June 30:
