Czech website Autoforum.cz has published leaked action and interior images of Alfa Romeo's all-new Giulia.
The images, which show the range-topping Giulia QV on the road and inside for the first time, were actually published before the car's world debut in Milan on Wednesday night.
Only now that Alfa's first direct rival for the BMW 3 Series since the 159 has been officially revealed can we confirm they are legitimate.
So far only the top-shelf, BMW M3-rivalling QV version – powered by a 380kW 3.0-litre twin-turbo V6 built by Ferrari – has been revealed, but only in a handful of official exterior shots.
The car on display in Milan has appeared in various images snapped from different angles by journalists on the night, but its doors remained closed.
As we've reported, however, the Giulia QV features a small, flat-bottom steering wheel housing a variety of functions including start/stop button, plus drive mode selection and infotainment controllers on the centre console.
The flagship Giulia QV, which is claimed to hit 100km/h in just 3.9 seconds, also features carbon-fibre backed sports front seats, 19-inch wheels with 245/35 front tyres and 285/30 rears, and six-piston front brake callipers and four-piston rears.
No details have been provided for lesser Giulia variants, which are expected to be powered by four-cylinder petrol and diesel engines.
As we've reported, the Giulia – which was revealed on the occasion of Alfa's 105th anniversary — has been in development by a 1000-strong team at Turin for more than five years, but right-hand drive production for Australia is not due to commence until the second half of next year.
