A Special Edition 'Storm' version of Holden's flagship 4x4 ute, the Colorado LTZ Crew Cab Pickup, has returned for the 2015 model year.
Already featuring a number of enhancements for 2015, such as better noise and vibration suppression, a light cab update and 'comfort' suspension, the Colorado now brings consumers a host of new extras for a $1000 premium with the Colorado Storm edition. These include leather-appointed seats, heated front seats, front and rear carpet mats, a black nudge bar, a black sports bar, 'Storm' badging and a 'Storm' branded bonnet protector.
Holden says the extra cost for the Storm accessories equates to a saving of over $2500 off the recommended retail price.
Holden made significant inroads with its 4x4 Colorado last year, the 15,161 examples sold representing sales growth of 8.7 per cent and a market share increase of 11.4 per cent, placing it fourth in the class behind Toyota's best-selling HiLux, Ford's Ranger and Mitsubishi's Triton. The only other vehicles to post growth in the segment last year were Ford's Ranger and Isuzu's D-Max.
The Colorado LTZ Crew Cab Pickup is priced from $50,490 (plus on-roads), with the Colorado Storm priced from $51,490.
Holden says the Colorado Storm will go on sale nationally in mid-February.
