Jeep places limits on Wrangler Freedom

Just 200 units of special edition Wrangler available from $38,500

Jeep has announced a new batch of the Wrangler Freedom limited edition model for 2015.

Priced at $38,500 for the two-door model or $42,500 for the four-door Unlimited, both variants are powered by the 3.6-litre petrol V6, coupled to the five-speed automatic transmission.

Extra features included in the price comprise satellite navigation displaying to a 16.5cm touch screen, a reversing camera and a 40GB hard drive for audio files. Cosmetic cues include a 'Freedom Star' bonnet decal, with matching decals on the driver's side rear quarter panel, body-colour wheel arch flares, black side steps, high-gloss Mineral Grey grille and 'Oscar Mike' badges on the front quarter panels – replacing the standard 'Sport' badges.

Seats are trimmed in a combination of black McKinley leather, vinyl and fabric, with silver stitching. A 'Freedom Star' logo is embroidered on the reverse side of the front seats, with a 'Jeep' logo embroidered on each of the front headrests. The steering wheel is bound in black leather with silver stitching and the bezels for the switchgear are finished in satin chrome. Jeep supplies the Wrangler Freedom with Mopar black slush floor mats.

The limited-edition Wrangler is available in Jeep dealer showrooms now.
