GM Holden has announced a special-edition version of its seven-seat Captiva 7 crossover, bringing a number of extra features for $2000 more than the entry-level front-wheel drive LS petrol automatic model on which it's based.
Priced at $31,990 drive-away and available from late this month, the Captiva Active adds unique 18-inch alloy wheels, leather-appointed seat trim, an eight-way powered driver's seat, fog lights, a sunroof and roof-rails.
These features are in addition to standard Captiva 7 specifications like a reversing camera and 7.0-inch colour touch-screen, and the base model's 2.4-litre four-cylinder petrol engine.
“Captiva Active provides customers with everything they need to help them enjoy an active family lifestyle with no compromise, whilst continuing to be the best value seven-seat SUV in the market,” said Holden’s Executive Director of Marketing, Bill Mott.
The new Captiva 7 variant emerges two weeks after Holden announced its sixth new managing director in seven years and committed to staging 24 major new models by 2020 – including a replacement for the nine-year-old Korean-made Captiva.
