Mitsubishi has announced the entry price of its updated Outlander SUV range will rise by $750 when it goes on sale in Australia next month.
At its Australian launch today, Mitsubishi also revealed a range of new model variant designations for the 2016 Outlander, which swaps from ES, LS and Aspire to LS, XLS and Exceed.
However, the model line-up remains the same, although there are now eight models in the petrol and diesel line-up. The plug-in hybrid Outlander PHEV is not part of this launch.
The entry-level front-wheel drive LS 2.0-litre petrol manual Outlander now starts at $28,490, while the range tops out at $46,490 for the top-spec 2.2-litre Exceed diesel auto – $400 less than the old '14.5MY' model.
The upgraded Outlander broke cover at the New York auto show earlier this month April and has been fast-tracked to Australia for this launch.
It features significant technical upgrades and Mitsubishi’s new Dynamic Shield design language, which will permeate all future models.
