Triton range expands
Mitsubishi has added three models to its new Triton GLX line-upFollowing on from the initial launch of its next-generation Triton utility in April, Mitsubishi has announced that it has added three new variants to the line-up: two new 4x2 Triton GLX models and a new 4x4 Triton GLX double cab cab/chassis.
A new entry-level 2.4-litre petrol GLX single cab with five-speed manual transmission now kicks the range off from $21,990 (plus on-roads), while a new 4x2 GLX double cab with manual transmission is priced from $33,490 (plus on-roads).
Mitsubishi says the new base-level 2.4-litre petrol engine produces 94kW and 194Nm, and delivers an ADR combined fuel economy of 10.9L/100km.
The engine's service intervals are pegged at 15,000km or every 12 months, whichever comes first, and is covered by Mitsubishi's capped-price servicing scheme.
Meanwhile the GLX double cab range has expanded with a new cab/chassis model. Powered by the Triton's new 2.4-litre four-cylinder turbo-diesel (133kW/430Nm), the model is available with either a standard six-speed manual ($36,240 plus on-roads) or an optional five-speed automatic ($38,740 plus on-roads) transmission.
The newcomers bring the Triton range to 14 models, with recommended retail pricing ranging from $21,990 to $47,490, plus on-roads.
