Citroen will offer a Safari Pack worth $1500 at no extra charge to C4 Picasso and C4 Grand Picasso until the end of the financial year or while stocks last.
The pack does not enable the Citroen people movers to better traverse the African bush but rather pays homage to what many consider the original Citroen people mover, the 1958-1975 Citroen DS Safari. The Safari Pack adds a suite of luggage-carrying enhancements.
The pack comprises roof bars and pod, boot liner and dual tablet/iPad holders for second row seats.
The roof bars have an integrated attachment mechanism and can be locked, securing the roof bars to the vehicle.
Attached to the integrated roof bars on the Safari Pack models is an enclosed roof pod, with a 330-litre carrying capacity and with a weight capacity of 70kg. The C4 Picasso and Grand Picasso have an 80kg roof load capacity.
The roof box can be opened from both sides, making it easier to load and unload.
In addition, the roof box benefits from security and theft protection with multiple locking points, and the roof box key cannot be removed from the locks unless the latches are all engaged.
On-board entertainment is made easier with the addition of two tablet holders. Secured via the front headrest mounts, the tablet holders are designed for securing iPads or tablets of varying sizes.
Rounding out the Safari Pack is a moulded removable, waterproof, non-slip boot tray.
The C4 Picasso and Grand Picasso standard features include a 360 degree monitor, park-assist, satellite navigation, 12-inch dash-mounted high-definition panoramic screen, seven-inch multi-function touch screen with built-in 8GB music storage jukebox, dual-zone climate control with rear vents, panoramic glass roof, keyless entry and start, rain-sensing wipers, automatic headlamps, LED daytime running lamps and fog lamps with cornering function.
