Bentley has revealed a new special edition of its luxury Flying Spur limousine called the Beluga.
Named after the firm’s Beluga Black colour scheme (rather than the whale, or caviar), the new special-edition has been created, Bentley says, to lend a more “athletic stance” to its big sedan.
Helping to justify a large (expected) premium over the rest of the Flying Spur range, the Beluga comes with special black 20-inch alloy wheels with chrome highlights and a black mesh grille.
Inside, you’ll find plenty of piano black wood, deep pile floor mats and a contrasting leather interior.
As part of the 2015 model year upgrades, the special-edition also benefits from the new option of on-board WiFi and, speaking of options, there’s still a long list, even on the Beluga edition.
Most popular will be the Mulliner Driving Specification pack that adds larger still 21-inch alloys, quilted leather seats, drilled aluminium pedals and a leather headlining.
Under the bonnet there’s been no mechanical changes and the special-edition gets the same 375kW 4.0-litre V8 engine that helps the Flying Spur reach 100km/h in 5.2 seconds.
Bentley's latest special is expected to go on sale this spring in Europe, when prices are expected to be announced. It’s not yet known how many will make it Down Under.
