SPY PICS: Ferrari F12 on Special(e)

Next Ferrari hyper car could wear Speciale or GTO badge

Is it a GTO, is it a Speciale?

Regardless, the Ferrari F12 you see in these images appears far more focused than the model upon which it's based.

Believed to be headlining the Ferrari stand at next month's Frankfurt Motor Show, the hottest F12 yet is expected to house a 6.3-litre V12 that yields an additional 30hp (22kW) for a grand total of 567kW... naturally aspirated.

Beneath that haphazard mix of tape, the images show more extensive use of carbon fibre, particularly to the front section, while there's three open vents set above the rear wheels for maximum air extraction.

A new bumper section is featured at the rear along with a more pronounced 'lip' spoiler.

Rumours of a 200kg weight loss have weakened recently, though a significant weight reduction would remain in keeping with recently-sharpened Ferraris past.
