UPDATE 10:00PM: Word just in from our Ferrari sources is that this is not a mildly facelifted version of the F12, but a lighter, more powerful track-focussed F12 limited-edition in the spirit of the previous 599 GTO of 2010. We understand the fastest road-going Prancing Horse this side of LaFerrari will be officially revealed soon.

Ferrari is expected to introduce an update of its $690,000 front-engined F12 Berlinetta, dubbed F12 M, at next year's Geneva motor show, four years after it was launched at the same venue in 2012.
These spy photos snapped around Ferrari's home in Maranello, Italy by the team at Automedia suggest that while any mid-life changes to the F12 aren't in evidence at the front-end, the heavy application of cladding at the back suggests some alterations may happen there, although it's hard to spot even subtle suggestions of anything – even the tail-light lenses appear unchanged.
Automedia reckons the heavy camouflage around the outlets in the rear wings and licence plate might be an indicator of some changes, but at this stage that is pure speculation.
There's no speculation on any changes to the 545kW/690Nm 6.3-litre V12 engine, however. Automedia does throw out the idea that the Italian company might be tempted to squeeze a little more power to break the 750bhp mark – or 119bhp per litre.
More details will hopefully come to light prior to the F12 M's Geneva unveiling in March 2016.
