Spanish car website Actualidad Motor has published images of what’s thought to be the Citroen Cactus M convertible ahead of its official unveil at the Frankfurt motor show.
If the images are real, the long-distance picture is thought to have been taken while new Cactus M was being shot for promotional material to be used at the German show next month.
From the grainy close-up shot it’s just possible to make out that the concept sadly doesn’t share the light utility vehicle lines of the 1960s Méhari.
Instead, it appears the concept will have removable roof panels or a hood, and that the Cactus will come with a more conventional elongated-targa appearance.
This week Citroen teased the Cactus M with a picture of a surfboard being sprayed in a paint booth. No doubt said surfboard will feature on the concept when it is revealed next month at Frankfurt. Expect more teases before then.
