Nissan has sharpened up its smallest model as part of a MY15 facelift for the Micra hatch that will be officially launched next week.
The Japanese brand's city-car range still opens at $13,490 plus on-road costs for the entry-level Micra ST manual ($15,290 auto), which now gains a new bonnet, headlights, 'V' grille, bumpers, wheels and tailgate.
Inside the revised exterior, which will be available in a new 'Miami Blue' hero colour, there's a revamped centre cluster, new instruments, updated seat trim and other trim changes.
New equipment fitted as standard to the base Micra includes cruise control, rear power windows, factory-fit Bluetooth with audio streaming and USB connectivity.
However, gone is the previous mid-range ST-L variant, replaced by a revised Ti flagship that now costs $2000 less than before at $16,990 plus ORCs.
Despite now costing the same as the discontinued ST-L auto, the auto-only Ti gains touch-screen satellite-navigation, a reverse camera and Bluetooth with audio streaming and USB connectivity.
However, some T1 equipment has been removed, including i-Key, rear parking sensors, climate-control, handbag holder and electric folding mirrors.
There are no changes to the Micra's mechanical package, including a 56kW/104Nm 1.2-litre three-cylinder petrol engine matched to five-speed manual and four-speed automatic transmissions.
