SHANGHAI MOTOR SHOW: Wild Chevrolet FNR revealed

Chevy shows Tron-inspired fully autonomous electric vehicle

Chevrolet has created a vision of what it thinks a full autonomous all-electric vehicle of the future might look like.

Created by GM’s Pan Asia Technical Automotive Center the looks are pure sci-fi with its dragonfly doors and sharp edges.

Powered by magnetic hubless electric motors in each wheel that charge wirelessly, Chevy hasn’t released how fast or far its concept can go.

Instead, new tech like Iris recognition (instead of a key), lightweight mesh chairs that swivel 180 degrees and crystal laser headlamps, plus an onboard concierge service that helps plan your journeys all offer a glimpse of some of the new technologies GM may or may not be working on.
