Mitsubishi has released a limited-edition and high-spec iteration of its Triton 4X4 workhorse, while also announcing a range of features will now be included as standard across its 2015 Triton range.
The GLX-R Triton Warrior comes with a diff lock, Mitsubishi’s Multi Communication System, an eight-speaker sound system with power amplifier, black leather seat trim and a six-way adjustable driver’s seat. The comms system features USB input, voice recognition and Bluetooth, iPhone and iPod connectivity.
The Warrior also comes with a number of exterior niceties, including an alloy front nudge bar, a flush-fit soft tonneau cover and Warrior decals on the front doors. A Genuine Accessory front protection bar is available as an alternative to the nudge bar for an additional cost.
The Triton GLX-R Warrior is priced at $43,990 (plus on-roads) for the five-speed manual or $45,990 (plus on-roads) for the five-speed automatic. It’s available in Charcoal, Cool Silver, Ironbark or White colour schemes.
Just 200 examples of the Warrior will be available in Australia.
Mitsubishi’s 2015 Triton range has received a host of upgrades. All GL and GLX Triton models now come with an upgraded audio system with Bluetooth connectivity, voice recognition, mobile phone/iPod hands-free operation and steering-wheel-mounted audio controls, while all double-cab Triton models come with two ISOFIX child seat anchorage points. Rounding out the upgrades is a black interior colour theme for the GLX-R Triton.
The Triton GLX-R Warrior and the 2015 Triton range are available now.
