Fiat announces 'Tricolore' 500 and Freemont

Cosmetic pack for the 500 hatch and Freemont people mover celebrates Italian heritage
Fiat has tizzied up its popular 500 and Freemont models, naming them the 500 Tricolore and Freemont Tricolore – in honour of the Italian flag.
The importer claims the limited edition models offer $1500 of extra value, for the same retail price as the standard models.
Based on the Fiat 500 Lounge, the Tricolore version of the tiny hatch is priced at $20,300 and can be identified by red, white and green stripes and chrome mirrors. Floor mats inside also feature the Italian flag look. The Freemont Tricolore is based on the Urban level of trim and also comes with the stripes and mats, but is priced at $28,330 for the petrol variant, or $32,600 for the diesel. Buyers of the Tricolore models will receive a key ring and tag in the design of the Italian flag, with a complementary box for the Freemont Tricolore's key.
"Our 'Tricolore' limited edition 500 and Fremont models proudly show the true colours of Italy and celebrate Fiat which is an iconic Italian brand," said Veronica Johns, Fiat Chrysler Group President.
"These new additions again highlight the great value-for-money of the Fiat range."
