Land Rover all but confirmed last month that its all-new Discovery Sport will come with seven seats and now it has released the first images of the Freelander replacement's three-row interior.
The Disco Sport will be officially revealed on September 3, head of its world premiere at the Paris motor show on October 2 and its Australian release next year.
Land Rover says the first member of its new and expanded Discovery model family, which will also include the redesigned Discovery 5 off-roader, will be the first in the premium compact SUV class to feature a "5+2" seating layout.
"Versatility is a fundamental element of the Discovery family and with 5+2 seating, generous load space and configurable seating the new Discovery Sport truly deserves to wear the Discovery badge," said Land Rover's Design Director and Chief Creative Officer, Gerry McGovern.
Like the full-size panoramic sunroof that can also be seen in the first interior shots of the Disco Sport, the pair of third-row seats will be optional.
