Chrysler brand reveals output for most powerful Challenger ever
Dodge has finally put numbers to the power and torque peaks for its Challenger SRT Hellcat – the most powerful Dodge muscle car ever.
Drum roll please: Power is a whopping 707hp (527kW) and torque plateaus at 650 lb.-ft (881Nm).
All that performance is the result of bolting a supercharger to the 6.2-litre V8 under the bonnet of the Challenger. The performance stats were the last piece to the puzzle Dodge had been withholding before now. Everything else about the hot-rod flagship had been announced back in May as we reported then – including the fact that it's exclusively engineered for left-hand drive and we won't see it in Australia.
Dodge dealers in North America will begin delivering the Challenger SRT during the third quarter of this year.
