Your daily drive will be more enjoyable and you'll be less likely to be cut off or hindered by other road users in a Lotus sports car.
That's the word from Lotus Australia and New Zealand's brand manager, Alistair Manihera, who says the Lotus badge is less likely to inflame the ire of road users.
"People like Lotus," he says, adding that many luxury brands attract unwanted attention.
"[When driving a Lottus] You don't get the animosity seen with some other brands," Manihera said.
Lotus currently offers three models in Australia, the entry-level Elise, hard core Exige S and luxurious four seat (2+2) Evora.
As the British sports car maker continues to refine its model range (the recently launched Exige S Roadster a prime example), it's no surprise that Lotus is trying to inject more luxury into its cars. With more options for comfort and convenience features in its cars, the brand is endeavouring to appeal to wider demographic.
But despite the upmarket push, Lotus says its cars aren't subject to same petty behaviour experienced when driving some premium vehicles.
"Lotus hasn't got the snob value. It's seen as a purist car. Therefore you don’t find people trying to cut you off in traffic," Manihera told mootoring.com.au.
"You get gestures, but nice gestures.
"By the time you get home, you feel like a superstar, it's wonderful," he said.
"Many brands build A to B transport, but Lotus is something you get excited about, and feel really good about.
"If you had a hard day at the office, the best thing to do is grab the keys, get in the car and by the time you get home, you have a massive grin on your face. Even in Sydney traffic," he opined.
