Spyker has announced it will reveal a new car at the Geneva motor show on March 1.
The announcement, which was accompanied by a shadowy teaser image of the car, was posted last night on Spykercars.com.
As we reported late July, the near-bankrupt Dutch sports car-maker was revived following a merger with US-based electric aircraft maker Volta Volare.
Now debt-free, it’s being reported Spyker will take advantage of Volta Volare’s pure-electric expertise and the C8 Preliator is likely to be a pure-electric supercar.
Officially, Spyker hasn’t yet released any information on the new car, although it was originally thought that, as well as a pure-electric car, the car-maker might push through its plans to introduce the B6 Venator.
The mid-engine 280kW V6 B6 coupe was originally revealed at the 2013 Geneva motor show -- but the return of the ‘C8’ name (last used on the 2008 C8 Aileron) raises doubts on this theory.
More information is expected to be revealed in the build up to the Swiss auto show.
