The Honda Civic will sport a new look in 2020 following the reveal of a lightly facelifted model in Europe.
The enduring hatchback and sedan, which compete with the Mazda3, Toyota Corolla and Hyundai i30 in the small car segment, are set to arrive in Australia in early 2020.
Externally, the 2020 Honda Civic will wear a revised front bumper up front with LED headlamps, LED daytime running lights (DRLs) and a revised grille, while at the rear there’s some minor changes to the bumper, plus new alloy wheel designs.
Rounding out the changes is the addition of a new colour: Obsidian Blue.
Similar changes permeate the interior, with a revised infotainment system offering a new volume knob and hard-wired buttons on the centre fascia. As before, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are offered standard.
The Civic is set to retain a 104kW/174Nm 1.8-litre naturally-aspirated petrol four-cylinder in entry models, while higher grades will employ a 127kW/220Nm 1.5-litre turbo-petrol.
Stay tuned for Australian pricing and specification details ahead of the updated Civic’s arrival early 2020. The Civic is currently available in sedan and hatchback body styles, with pricing starting from $22,390 plus on-road costs.
Honda has sold 8796 Civics so far in 2019, well short of segment sales darlings including the Toyota Corolla (25,462), Hyundai i30 (24,104) and Mazda3 (22,219).
