The Audi e-tron GT will be launched globally later this week, but someone couldn’t wait that long as official images of the high-performance electric car have been published on a Spanish website.
As the images reveal, the 2021 Audi e-tron GT, which is based heavily on the Porsche Taycan, is very close indeed to the show car unveiled in LA back in 2018.
Even the mirrors and the rear apron appear to be the same.
The checker-plate look of the show car’s front bumper has been cast aside for something that might be a little easier to repair, or cheaper to discard after a prang.
But fundamentally, Audi has stayed true to the overall look of the e-tron GT show car for the production model.
Audi Australia is still to confirm specific plans for the e-tron, although it’s a certainty that we’ll see the car here – and presumably in both the standard 434kW variant as well as the Audi RS e-tron GT, producing 475kW.
More will be revealed on Wednesday morning (Australian time).
