Shock but definitely not horror! Chevrolet is rolling out a Camaro concept for the SEMA hot-rod show that that features a bunch of new bits bound for production.
Hopefully, eventually, it all makes it to Australia, either to buy as stand-alone parts from hot tuners or once Holden Special Vehicles figures out its strategy for right-hand drive conversion of the MY19 Camaro.
The obvious change to the Camaro SS coupe is its Shock exterior paint colour.
The retina searing yellow been added to what’s widely regarded as a pretty dull Camaro colour palette.
Funnily enough, the only other Chevrolet that offers Shock is the Bolt electric vehicle. Talk about bookends of the range!
Beside the new paint-job, the Las Vegas-bound Camaro features a bunch of new accessories and performance parts.
They include a black wing spoiler, fuel door with exposed carbon-fiber insert, black Camaro fender badges, a cold-air induction kits, Recaro performance seats, Brembo six-piston front brake upgrade kit and 1LE suspension components.
The show car also features concept front-end styling that includes a relocated bowtie emblem and concept bonnet/fender graphics.
The press blurb also references “second-generation ground effects” without mentioning what that exactly is. But don’t get too excited, that just means some exterior styling bits and bobs.
The SEMA parts are all factory designed and validated by in-house testing and are available to customers online.
A personalised Camaro LT convertible, shown in new satin steel grey metallic and featuring concept red accents and additional accessories will also feature on the Chevrolet SEMA stand.
