Ford Everest Sport joins updated MY20 line-up

Blue Oval’s seven-seat off-road SUV model range updated and joined by sporty new variant

Ford Australia has announced an upgraded and expanded 2020 Ford Everest 4x4 line-up, and it will be joined by a new Sport variant for the first time.

The 2020 Ford Everest Sport gets a raft of sporty exterior features to set it apart from its siblings in the updated large seven-seat SUV range.

These include bi-LED headlights with auto high-beam and 17 per cent greater lighting penetration, black 20-inch alloy wheels, unique ‘Sport’ badging and ‘Everest’ lettering above the grill.

Sport variants also get a black-out treatment for the roof rails, window surrounds, side mirrors and in lower sections of the front and rear bumpers.

A new hero colour – Deep Crystal Blue – also bolsters the Everest Sport’s look, while four other paint options include Artic White, Shadow Black, Meteor Grey and Aluminium.

A total of eight trim levels are now on offer in the all-diesel, Ranger ute-based Everest line-up.

These include the base-spec Ambiente 3.2L (in rear- or four-wheel drive, priced from $49,490), mid-spec Trend (again with RWD and 4WD, plus two diesel powertrain offerings, from $56,490), the new Sport 4WD (with either diesel, from $62,290) and the flagship Titanium Bi-Turbo 4WD ($72,590).

Like all Everest variants, it’ll also get a range of standard safety features including autonomous emergency braking (AEB) with pedestrian detection, lane keep assist, traffic sign recognition, auto high-beam, reversing camera, rear parking sensors, hill descent control and hill launch assist.
