It’s due on sale in Australia in the third quarter of this year, but so far we’ve only seen official renderings and sneaky spy shots of the all-new Genesis G80.
That’s about to change, with an official Genesis teaser video confirming the third-generation large sedan will make its global online debut on March 30 – next Monday.
We still don’t know exactly what will power the 2021 Genesis G80, but we expect it to borrow the 3.3-litre petrol V6 from its smaller G70 sibling and at least one of the three engines that will power the new Genesis GV80 large SUV.
These include a 2.5-litre turbo-petrol four-cylinder, a 3.5-litre twin-turbo petrol V6 or an inline 3.0-litre six-cylinder turbo-diesel.
Taking some of its styling and design cues from the upcoming GV80, including new quad headlights and tail-lights, the G80 also gets larger 20-inch wheels and a bunch of chrome garnishes around its sleek exterior.
The 2021 Genesis G80 will also get more technology and a (much needed) cabin upgrade, including a large 14.5-inch infotainment unit alongside a host of luxury interior finishes.
Stay tuned for further details when the new G80 debuts next week.
