Watch Holden’s virtual Supercars racer lap Mount Panorama in under 1:30
Holden officially ‘unveiled’ its virtual race car on the eve of the 2018 Bathurst 1000, where its computer-generated vision of a future Holden Supercars racer made its video debut.
Concocted by Holden’s Australian design and engineering team to mark the 50th anniversary of the brand’s first Bathurst win in 1968, the all-electric one-lap wonder is said to weigh just 900kg and produce 1000kW.
It’s no wonder, then, that the time-attack tearaway is claimed to be able to set a new outright lap record of Mount Panorama in just 1:29.30, as you’ll see from the official video.
