Ten years have passed since Lexus introduced its LFA. The V10-powered carbon-fibre supercar is a true collector’s item, and with just 500 produced globally, is now worth close to $1m depending on the market.
It’s a car whose development in February 2000 kick-started Lexus sporting ‘F’ brand, and paved the way for models including the V8-powered IS F (2007), RC F (2014) and GS F (2016). Now, it’s inspired the fastest road-going F model in nearly a decade, the first RC F Track Edition.
A limited edition coupe with V8 power and rear-wheel drive, it’s priced from $165,690 (plus on-road costs) and goes on sale this month. Be quick though, Lexus will only bring 10 to Australia – as many as it did with the LFA a decade ago.
