A “facelifted and updated” Mitsubishi Mirage hatchback will make its global debut in Thailand on November 18, the Japanese car-maker has revealed.
Likely to go on sale next year in Australia, where the Mitsubishi Mirage hatch is available in three variants priced from $13,990, the 2020 makeover brings Mitsubishi’s latest front-end design to the pint-size five-door.
Like the updated 2020 Mitsubishi ASX small SUV to be released next week, the 2020 Mitsubishi Mirage will wear “sharp and dynamic exterior designs, which embody the Mitsubishi-ness that identifies the company’s compact cars”, says the company.
It’s not yet known what, if any, other updates will be applied to Mitsubishi’s Thai-built Mirage hatch, which dates back to 2013 but is no longer available in sedan form Down Under.
Mitsubishi’s smallest model is Australia’s third best selling micro-car, but with just 505 sales so far this year (less than the Kia Picanto’s 4788 and the Fiat 500’s 600) its popularity has waned by almost 47 per cent in 2019.
