Subaru has announced it is introducing a range of STI performance parts and accessories for its upcoming new-generation Subaru BRZ coupe.
The parts, consisting of both factory-fit and dealer add-ons, have been created for those who want to extract a little more from the 2021 Subaru BRZ, or feel its lines are too tame.
Introduced initially for the Japanese market, the first upgrade consists of a styling kit for the BRZ that's designed to ramp up the visual aggression of the small coupe.
The body kit includes a carbon-fibre rear wing, larger front splitter, sportier side skirts and extra air-bending elements that look like it includes an extra lower blade for the rear diffuser.
If those extra aero parts are too subtle, a larger-still carbon-fibre rear spoiler with motorsport-inspired swan-neck hangers is also available.
Finally, there's a set of 18-inch forged BBS rims that are finished in bronze.
If you're not satisfied with the new FA24-series 2.4-litre boxer engine power output (170kW/249Nm), there's a new performance exhaust that's believed to both cut wave and boost power, although there's no claim for how much extra oomph is liberated.
A flexible V-brace can also be added under the bonnet that's said to boost rigidity and sharpen up the handling.
Finally, a set of LED daytime running lamps mounted vertically on a new trim piece sited directly beneath both headlights within the air intakes also becomes a cost option.
Speaking of prices, Subaru Japan has yet to publish the cost of the STI performance parts that could be available direct from the factory or from your nearest Subaru dealer following the launch of the 2021 Subaru BRZ in Australia later this year.
