Nissan has today announced the introduction of a new limited-edition model based on the Navara pick-up in ST-X dual-cab 4X4 guise.
Priced from $54,490 for the six-speed manual version, and rising to $56,990 for the seven-speed automatic, the Navara N-Sport Black Edition is part limited edition, part showcase for Nissan's range of genuine accessories.
Among the features fitted are a black sports bar, a black nudge bar, a fitted LED light bar, black wheel arch flares and 18-inch black alloy wheels. Cosmetic features that set it apart include decals, badging, a black gloss honeycomb grille, dark chrome fog light bezels and a black soft tonneau cover.
Nissan is offering the Black Edition variant in four colours: Cosmic Black, Slate Grey, Brilliant Silver and Diamond White.
As for the standard Navara ST-X, the Black Edition is powered by a 2.3-litre twin-turbo diesel four-cylinder producing 140kW and 450Nm. Torque is transferred to the drive wheels via a dual-range system and the Navara's braked towing capacity is 3500kg.
Standard features carried over from the ST-X trim level to the Black Edition comprise satellite navigation with seven-inch infotainment touch screen, reversing camera/parking sensors, airbags for front-seat occupants, an airbag for the driver's knee and side-curtain airbags.
"The N-SPORT Black Edition gives the Navara a tough looking make over," said Nissan Australia MD Richard Emery.
"Black is all the rage at the moment and certainly makes the Nissan Navara ST-X Dual Cab stand out.
"With its aggressive but stylish look, and limited numbers, we think this will be a popular variant for Ute buyers."
