Audi has revealed a long-wheelbase version of the new Audi A6 at the Guangzhou motor show in China that stretches the wheelbase of the regular mid-size sedan by 100mm.
Like the model it replaces, the new Audi A6L is longer than the car-maker's flagship A8 limousine, prioritising both passenger space and comfort.
Built specifically for Chinese buyers in China, currently Audi says there are no plans to export the XXL A6 to other markets.
Initially, Chinese buyers will have the choice of just one 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine, with either 140kW or 165kW.
Later on, Audi is expected to introduce a plug-in hybrid version that will be badged 'e-tron'.
In China, the new Audi A6L will again rival long-wheelbase versions of the BMW 5 Series and Mercedes-Benz E-Class, and the Jaguar XFL.
